"V"... quite a disappointment so far!

i expected this one to be remade a-la Battlestar Galactica! now what's happening here? this remake seems to be a little tame and slow for my taste--dare i say an absolute "borefest"? leaning way to much towards politics more than anything else. its 80's incarnation was more engaging and entertaining for crying out loud! if they don't change their writing soon, their viewers and ratings will certainly drop. *crossing my fingers*
